Spring Discount Package(s) Question

I was just browsing and noticed that there were Spring Packages and AP packages for travel January - April 27. As a general question do these offer dates overlap with future offers that may come later? For example, if your travel is through the end of a promotion period Say April 26 - May 1 how does it usually work? Or is this usually a poor time to plan for travel in taking advantage of a discount package?

I know @wannabeBelle from @Kingdom Konsultant taking care of this trip for me so I have nothing to worry about, but was just curious about the promotions and how they work.

You can only have one discount applied to your reservation. So if the first part of your trip is April 24-27 then the discount at the time will apply. If you another discount comes out for the second half of your stay from April 28-May 4 then you would need to call reservations because what they do is split your trip in half with 2 different confirmation numbers. The spring discount will apply to the first half and the summer discount would apply to the second half. They will connect the two reservations in their system so that you will be in the same room, etc. I'm falling into that discount split next year and it's annoying. I try to avoid that if possible but wasn't able to this year.
