Splitting Up Dining Reservations (ADRs)

We would LOVE to be able to split up our family's dining reservations for character dining for one meal in particular. My wife and daughter would like to try to get Akershus, while my son and I would like to try to get into Garden Grill. Both are at Epcot. I know they rarely open up for reservations, but we do currently have a 6:30 Akershus reservation on the same day we have a 7:45 Garden Grill reservation--but BOTH reservations are for 4 people. HOWEVER, the MyDisneyExperience website apparently won't let us split up our reservations... We read that you can call Disney to make that kind of "split" reservation, but what number do I call? We DON'T want to lose Akershus, whatever we do... Advice?
