Splitting kids meals?

Has anyone ever had their children split a kids meal? I ask because I have two "grazers" who never seem to eat even half of meals that we get for them at restaurants. Most of the time that's fine as we just take the food home, but we can't box it up at Disney. We have 6 ADRs scheduled for our next trip so that is a lot of wasted food.

I have found that even my picky eaters are hungry after walking the parks all day so I have never had them split a kids meal. After walking and standing in lines for hours they are ready to eat!! Also if I want them to eat well I make sure they haven't been snacking all day!

Are you on the dining plan? If so, you most likely will still be "charged" even if they don't eat. However, when we were at garden grill my oldest actually starting to fall asleep at the table and didn't touch his food! We were not charged for his meal and had it still leftover at the end of the stay which we turned into a few snacks...

That's awesome that they didn't charge you! I spoke with a CM yesterday and she said that if we are on the dining plan then we will be charged for two meals, but if we are paying out of pocket we can let them share and just order an extra drink for a few dollars. She also told me to enjoy this point in time because once they are teenagers (they are both boys) we won't have to worry about them not eating their food, but about how they won't stop eating food!
