when making a reservation is that to be seated in the dinningroom? does that reserve me a lane? we would like to eat AND bowl together

Dining ressies do not reserve you a lane but if you reserve a lane you can order food while you are bowling. I think you have to call to reserve a lane through Splitsville but I'm not sure how far in advance you can do that.
Dining ressies though you can book like any other dining ressie 180 days ahead online or on the phone with Disney Dining.

the lane reservations are not cheap, you are better off just trying to book one when you get there.
