Split accommodation - how does this affect fastpass+?

We are splitting our accomodation for our stay. The first half in All Stars Music, the second in a friend's villa.

How does that affect our ability to book fast passes 60 days in advance? Can we only do it for the days we're booked into ASM, and the other days will be 30 days in advance, or can we book the whole holiday 60 days in advance?

You can book Fast passes starting the first day or YOUR trip and then you can book for however many days you have purchased, so if you booked a 4 day package at All Stars with a 8 day ticket, you can book 60 days out from your check in date for the 8 days you have a ticket, I hope that makes sense

Is the second part offsite or DVC?

If you have two back to back onsite stays, you can make them for the whole length of stay, up to the number of days’s worth of tickets you have.

If your friends’ timeshare is offsite, then you will be able to book for the length of your onsite stay at ASM at 60 days out of the check-in date. You then get a rolling 60 day window, so at exactly 60 days out from each day, you will be able to make FPs day by day.

So you will want to try and book FoP and Slinky for the last part of your ASM stay, to maximise your chances.

Not if the second part is offsite. That loophole was closed a couple of years ago.

Let me be the first to warn you...prepare for some headaches. We just did this and there wasn’t a single day where our FP+ wasn’t messed up at some point. If you have issues I recommend having Disney’s IT department phone number handy. They are AMAZING and so helpful anytime things went wrong. Here’s the number: ‭(407) 939-7765‬

As in headaches when you were booking? Did you have a package stay involved?

Not so much booking at the 60 day mark.... More so while we were in WDW. The app just had a mind of its own it seemed since there were so many people on the same MDE. No packages involved.

The app has been glitchy for a while too. Loads of reports of ADRs, FPs disappearing, reappearing etc. That is a different issue!

Is this true if you have an annual pass and are doing an onsite split stay, or does it only work this way with a regular multi day ticket?

With an AP it becomes more complicated. Your onsite stay should be fine, no matter how many days and whether split or not.

However there are sometimes issues and you hit the limit of number of days. If this happens though, and all days are onsite then call and I believe Guest Services will book your FPs for you. It’s a glitch that some people hit and others never do. :banghead:

If you have a split stay with onsite and offsite, then the onsite days count towards your limit in any 30 day period. I’m not as familiar with APs as with regular multi day tickets. @Rob562 might have useful additional info.

Thanks @nickys . It's a split stay at the same resort because for some reason I couldn't get availability for the entire trip so I had to book two separate reservations for the exact same room type. I'm hoping they don't make us move. I wasn't sure whether or not I could do the 60+10 in this case.

You should be able to.

And it’s 60+14 and then rolling day by day. In case you have a longer stay planned.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't know why I thought it was +10.

Two reasons. ADRs are 180+10 and the longest regular multi day tickets in the US are 10 days. Both perfectly reasonable reasons why most people think the same as you.

Those of us from the U.K. know we can book 60+14 and then day by day after that because we can get the 14 and 21 day tickets. :)
