not that this is that big of news but before someone starts rumors about the splash photo shop being closed, here is the truth....

the picture area (were you first see your pic after getting of the ride) has a permenent looking temparary wall, that has the 8 pic screens so you can still look/buy your pic. They are doing a rehab to the area behind the wall for about the next month.

Inside the Photo Shop, the area that you queued up in to buy your pic also has a temp wall up, again doing rehab work behind it for about a month. They have a temp area inside to buy your pic now, and you still pick it up at the same spot.

So basically everything is the same and nothing has changed.

Back to normal with a few slight changes sometime in Feb.

CBJ still closed....SAT is the scheduled day to reopen

Hey!
I love splash mountain! I think that is cool that they are doing rehab on the photo booth. The only thing wrong that I don't like about the ride, is that is stalls, or breaks down or something like that. They put out about 45- 50 boats at a time and I think that is why? It only holds like 50 boats so thats almost all of them right?

we generally run 48 or 50, but i have sceen 52.

# of boats however, is not why we get ride stops. Its when people take to long to get in and out of there boats. If we dont dispatch in time, the ride stops all lifts and drops, so that we dont get a large back up at the station. Some times the ride stops are unavoidable, like with guests with disabilities, but more often then not, its a guest wiping the seat off before they sit down, or switching rows at the last min.

These ride stops are only a few sec long though. you hear the speil thats at the bottom of everyone of my posts.

The long ones, you know its going to be long if the work lights come on, is when STUPID guests get out of there logs or stand up, both of witch sets of our intrusion system. When this happens, we HAVE to send a CM out to that guest to eather take them out, or have them remain seated. These Stops general last up to 5 min. you will hear a Real CM giveing the speil, instead of the pre recorded one.

If we have technical difficulties, look for a much longer ride stop.
