I haven't really heard much about its condition post-refurb...What exactly was fixed? If anyone can help me out that would be great! It's my favorite ride and I would love to see it in great condition when I'm there later this year.

I've heard great reviews since it went back up, a lot of technical issues were dealt with, I read one blogger say they saw animatronics move they never saw move before!

I'm sure other wiser people will give you more/better details!

I think all of the animatronics were fixed (aside from the blue jay at the end). They added fresh coats of paint, and the upgraded lighting and audio. Aside from this, I don't know. The video of it looks amazing. I noticed things I've never noticed before.

I believe all effects like water effects and fountains and things that I got used to seeing without ate back up and the like. if I remember the only thing said not to be fixed was one specific bird at the end of the ride. though I may have just dreamed that part.

Well if the bird isn't fixed then Splash just isn't worth keeping open. That bird was the whole show.

A lot of effects were fixed including the animation (AA's) and they painted the exterior and made it look all nice again!

Mr blue is up and singing again at the end! but they fixed all the issues with the laughing place, many of the water effects, the irrigation system that would let plantlife grow on top of the mountain, re did the track for the fall, gave all the animatronics the TLC they needed and gave many things a fresh coat of paint again.

What was fixed? Everything! Seriously, it's like brand new.

And best of all, the awful tarp at the load station is gone and you don't have to worry about rocks falling on your head while you wait to get in your boat!

Hmmm....where are all the naysayers now who were whining about the fact of the tarps and that they were sure Disney was going to botch the refurb, not fix anything and they might as well just shut it down... Blah, blah, blah...

Now...the bigger hope is that they maintain things properly so that this sort of refurb is not needed for another 20 years. I am very much looking forward to riding it in September as it has always been one of my favorites.

in that case I'll try not to mess it up for you too much when I go in May. Im going to be honest though, the bird may have to go, Him moving again after I said he wasn't is making me look like a (bigger) fool and something must be done.

He's fixed now, by the way. He doesn't have full motion, but at least he's moving.

Well thank heavens for that. Without that bird moving there was absolutely NO reason to ride Splash.

The best thing that they fixed (well one of the best things) is the music and sound. Everything is so much clearer and louder than I ever remember it.
