Taking our seats in the logs, touted as “Mystery Wooden Sticks”, we take off upriver, and where Br’er Frog currently is, Grunkle Stan calls out to us, informing us that the tour isn’t supposed to be fun, and we should just pay him now.
We loop around the front of the mountain, and enter the mill, now converted to look like The Mystery Shack. During the top loop, we pass several of Grunkle Stan’s “Exhibits”, which are just stuffed mannequins designed to look like monsters.
At the drop, we drop down into the cartoon world of Gravity Falls. The first thing we encounter are several gnomes standing on each other’s shoulders while attempting to fish. Rounding the corner where Br’er Rabbit/Fox/Bear are, the twins argue as Soos watches. Dipper wants to find a real monster, while Mabel just wants to have fun.
Where Br’er Raccoon and the sweeping bunnies are currently, we see various residents of the town standing on the bank, getting up to their usual shenanigans. Where the shadow currently is, Dipper can be seen chasing a random monster over the hill, Soos and Mabel following him.
Rounding the corner, we see Dipper yelling at Soos, who has gotten himself snared in Dipper’s trap for a monster in an homage to the original Splash. Across the stream, Bill appears where jumping Br’er Rabbit currently is via projection effect and calls out that he can find a real monster for Dipper.
Where Br’er Frog/Gator currently are, Grunkle Stan lounges in a hammock and calls out us, asking us if we’ve paid for our tour yet, and if not then we need to do so now. While on our way to the dip-drop, we see several other town residents on the bank, including Old Man McGucket randomly dancing where Br’er Roadrunner currently is.
At the top of the drop, Mabel and Dipper are trying to yank Soos out of the hole he’s gotten himself wedged into. Soos argues he doesn’t want to leave the hole since it’s full of candy, Dipper claims they’re wasting time from the monster hunt, and Mabel is just laughing. At the top of the hole, Bill appears once again via projection and curses us down the dip-drop!
The bottom scene plays out relatively similar to current Splash. Soos has gotten the candy turned into mouse traps and there’s a big one stuck on his mouth. Mabel meanwhile is cracking up at the sight, and Dipper says he’s going off to find a monster. Bill’s laughter erupts as we dip into the former Laughing Place.
We find it’s the Weirdmaggedon world from the show, and all sorts of crazy stuff is going on. At the bottom of the big hill, Bill has the twins tied up and telling them “Things get a lot crazier, in my favor! Ahahaha!” Insanity demons follow us up the hill, and at the top, we find Bill about to curse the twins, when the magic shatters and we are flung down the big drop.
After winding our way through the forest, we find ourselves inside once again. We’re now in the town square as fireworks go off in the distance. Where Br’er Fox and Bear currently are, Grunkle Stan is seen trying to escape the town with two suitcases full of money. Problem is there’s a spare monster lurking right behind him, trying to eat him, in an homage to the current scene.
