What exactly is different now that Splash Mountain is in a rehab?? Will it be completely finished when I come to visti on March 18th??

Yeah, I'm wandering the same thing, will SM be done for April? I'm leaving for WDWR on April 2nd and arriving april 3rd for the park on april 4th so should it be done by then? Thanks

All they are doing is repaining the exterior. It is very bright now. THe only way that the current rehab effects the ride is in that the big drop down chik-a-pin hill might be dry, as they turn off the water in that part when paining in that area.

They are just painiting--I'm not sure about March 18, but I'm sure it'll be done by April. They've been working on this since what? First of Feb? The paint looks great though! Splash Mountain isn't closed, they just open the ride at 12 PM due to the painting-also, they turn off the water on the last drop, and for the leaping water jumping from pot to pot.

I'm not trying to be the pessimist here...

but the overspray on the paint job they're doing is horrible! They're painting all over the plants, hitting some of the wood structure, and completely missing a lot of rock formation...

and this isn't just a bash improvements post; I'm serious!

I hope this is just the beginning and that they go back for punch/detail work later!

Well happy early birthday Turkey Leg Boy!

BwanaBob- Knowing Disney, they'll go back and finish what doesn't meet the Disney standards. I'm sure it'll look wonderful once they're done with everything.

I don't know what Disney is waiting for. With all of the stuff inside the ride that people have said are down, I would think that the staff would close Splash Mountain for maybe a few weeks to go in and repair everything so when it does reopen, things are back to normal at everyone's favorite laughing place.

If they did that, people would be complaining about how many rehabs are going on. Disney is screwed either way they do it.

Also, it would only be a week or two before some of the things weren't working again.
