Splash Mountain (MK) Refurb Differences?

Refurb, doesn't mean that they changed anything, it just means that they shut it down to repair minor problems, clean AA's, clean up whatever mold accumulates on water rides and generally have it ready for a busy summer season coming up. In the past, they went a long time without doing anything to Splash Mountain and then parts started falling off. They decided, I guess, that shutting it down once a year and doing maintenance was less upsetting to the Guests then having parts falling on them.

I don't have any inside information about it, I was basing my reply on your statement that nothing seemed to be different. It isn't unusual for yearly maintenance to just be fixing up whatever is already there and not making any noticeable changes.
