Ok so I’ve had this idea for a long time. I always thought that Disney should build a Splash Mnt in another international park. Since they declined building one in Paris I switched my interest into putting it in HKDL. China seems relatively warm and they have 2 water rides over at the park in Shanghai so it doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Here’s my idea for the Chinese version of Splash Mountain!.
Queue:
The entrance to the queue area utilizes a dim cave where only lantern lights deep through. Within the cave features portraits of the 3 main characters. Also there are multiple signs of other critters as well. Brer Goose, Brer Beaver Mining co., and a poster for a Swamp Boys concert are included as well. In an even larger cavern sits the loading area. The logs are the same format as WDW’s and Tokyo’s.
Experience:
Here’s the beginning of the adventure. Your log makes a sharp turn to the left and you climb a small lift hill. To the right an animatronic of Brer frog begins to narrate the story ( in Chinese ). Afterwards, your log makes a turn to the right here the mountain is now visible. You float as you watch riders going down the 70 foot plunge!. Your log makes yet another sharp turn as you climb up another lift hill.
To be continued......
