Interesting. Wonder if they'll be able to undercut Southwest's fares to Vegas. Haven't heard much good about them but might be worth it for roughly an hour flight.![]()

Spirit is cheap in every sense of the word.
I don't go to Vegas enough to make it worth what appears to be a bit higher price ($238 round trip before taxes) but might look into it one day. My buddy is a private jet pilot...all sorts of fun stories he has with movie stars and athletes but I still haven't been able to tag along on any flights. Guess he's not that good of a buddyThat's what I've heard.
@Stevek on the opposite end of the comfort spectrum, but not a whole lot more money, you could try JSX from John Wayne to Las Vegas (and other west coast cities). Valet parking at a private terminal, free checked bags, a guaranteed 20 minute check-in/boarding process, 36 inches of seat pitch in a small executive jet, with free cocktails for the short hop over to Sin City.

I used to fly southwest once a month to Chicago and it's always been good for me. Fairly inexpensive, rarely any issues.I've never flown Southwest or Spirit, but I've never heard anything good about Spirit. And looking at a travel website Spirit uses A320/19's exclusive with the tightest seat pitch in the industry at 28 inches for almost all their seats. Southwest uses 737's exclusively with a 31 inch seat pitch.
So your choice is slightly wider seats with Spirit but with 3 inches less legroom, or slightly narrower seats with Southwest with a still-tight yet kind of workable 31 inches of legroom.
Spirit A320 = 18 inch seat width, 28 inch seat pitch
Southwest 737 = 17 inch seat width, 31 inch seat pitch
That’s tasteless and certainly not funny. There are people on board.Every time we see a plane from Spirit on approach to O’hare I ask my family, “ Do you know why the planes are yellow? It’s so they will be easier to find when they crash”

Every time you do something, you are putting your life at risk, some activities are more dangerous than others.

10 Incredibly Bizarre Death Statistics - death statistics - Oddee
From falling out of bed to getting trampled by a hippopotamus, these are ten of the strangest death statistics ever!www.oddee.com
Hippos kill 2,900 people annually in Africa
Falling out of bed kills 450 people annually in the U.S.
Icicles kill 100 people per year in Russia
Dogs kill 34 people per year in the U.S.
Ants kill 30 people per year
Vending machines kill 13 people per year
Can I have it?All I know is that I bought a butt load of Spirit stock back in May and it's already gone up 70% since then. If it even reaches half of where it was in February I'll make a tidy 300%+ profit. That should pay for many Disneyland trips to come.
