Spice Road V.S. La Hacienda

We hope to dine during illuminations. We have seen illuminations before so not too concerned about the view. But really want some reviews on food! Neither restaurant seems to have a ton

It was. I have allergies and they did an excellent job of handling them. La Hacienda doesn't have a dedicated gf fryer so seeing I can't eat chips and salsa there it may be a while before I get back

I also haven't been to La Hacienda but add another vote to the food at Spice Road Table being surprisingly delicious! We had the Yellowfin Tuna and Lamb and both were unique and flavorful dishes. A standout meal for us and lovely waterfront dining!

We have been to both and prefer Spice Road Table.
I guess we just caught La Hacienda off guard when we went a few years ago. It was one of those "miss" meals (of hit or miss) that was obviously made hours ago and just sitting on a warming bench hoping to warm up. Service stunk, too. Others have had great experiences here.
We walked into Spice Road Table and it was the opposite. Wonderful people, great service and yummy food.

I've been to both and I really enjoyed Spice Road! Now if only I could convince my husband to go with me...

I've also been to both and have had terrific food from both. At La Hacienda I had the Pollo al Pastor - Achiote marinated baked half chicken served with roasted vegetables, beans and pineapple relish -



And then most recently I had lunch at Spice Road and had both the chicken & beef skewers and the calimari -





Both were excellent, but the thing that sells Spice Road for me is that there's a patio area where you could really experience IllumiNations. La Hacienda is all inside, albeit with large windows. You'd have a great view, but you'd be kinda separate from all the cool explosions.
