Spending Cash?

Hello All,

Getting ready to leave four our 8 night 9 day vacation home next week. We are on the regular dining plan. How much spending money do you think we should bring for a couple of 2? We did not book any reservations for breakfast. How much for tips, souvenirs, extra meals? Trip to Jellyrolls and Trader Sams?

$1,000 ballpark

$200 for breakfasts
$200 for TS dining tips
$40 for housekeeping tips
$160 for extra snacks and/or booze
$400 for souvenirs
[/QUOTE

That was the number I was coming up with. Don’t think I will spend $400 on souvenirs. Trying to spring another After Hours night while we are there.

We usually spend about 500 but we dont do much for souvenirs. Instant breakfast drinks is our friends.... lol
4 of us. Kids thankfully only get maybe a couple shirts each...I'll get a cool Epcot Center shirt some trips

Yeah I figured we won't spend much on souvenirs. We are staying at the Poly so we are going to have to go with the Tonga toast maybe 1, 2,3..... or 4 days :). We do plan to use our snack credits for some breakfast's. More worried about drinks at the pool etc.. killing us.

Over the years weve gotten by on $100 a day. We usually return home not spending it all. We generally tip 20%. We can expect to get a couple of snacks in a day. Mousekeeping gets tipped depending on the service weve received, usually $5 a day. I save up for, and receive gift cards all year for souvenir expenses. To save bringing a lot of cash along, any extras we decide to do, we put on the charge card and have the money to pay off those extra expenses upon returning home.

Cap's got a great starting point for you to work from. Adjust t his numbers to fit your personal estimates and you should be set.
You could get a reloadable Disney Gift card to put it all onto to and us that to pay those inciedentials off of.

Yeah I am just trying to budget $250 to do another After Hours night :) If that means a few less drinks and t-shirts I might have to swing it.

I'd ballpark 20% of the dining plan cost for tips. Souvenir cost is variable depending on the person and the budget, but obviously stuff in the parks is expensive. Likewise with alcohol, I can spend $10 while my friend could spend $100, so it's tough to say. Maybe ballpark $15 per drink assuming a mix of drink types?

My wife and I aren't big drinkers but we were planning on going to Jellyrolls one night and trader sams one night for a cocktail or two.
