I just saw Spectromagic last night, and I can tell they have added a few things since I saw it 2 monthes ago. It looks like some of the floats are now further apart from each other , like the connected ones Little Mermaid etc. And the 3 faries lights are very bright now. Go Check it out. You'll see!

umm,

that's not really an update. All it means is that parade maintenance has been doing its job in changing the bulbs as they get old. As for the float spacing, I'm a float driver (among my many talents) and we were never told of anything

I hope they've rehabed the parade. When I was there in June the Chernabog and Carousel Floats were both mia. :( Also some of the characters costumes didn't change from color to white at the end. They stayed one or the other.

chernabog and carousel are 'hazard floats' for lack of a better term. If it rained, has been raining, or will rain, they will usually down them, since those 2 have a tendency to slide in the rain. Those are also Level-3 floats (chernabog which requires 2 separate drivers), and level 3 drivers are far and few between, so staffing may have downed them.

secondly, the costumes, that is just performer apathy.. lol. They control the color changes, so if they're not changing it's either a new person ("Hi! I'm new here!") or someone who just is being lazy.

those 2 things mentioned aren't really rehab issues, but rather operational ones

To add to this, the Magical Moment Pins only go of during the last series of floats that go from white to multi-color...and the pin does the some thing...it blinks in one color while the float is white....then when the float changes to many colors, so does the pin....just thought you'd like to know!!!

I'd say he wasn't entirely truthful. The only way to have your foot ran over by one of those balls would be to put your foot underneath it.... a ways. The wheels on those floats are closer to the center of it, so it has a better turning radius. To have been ran over, he would have to be a TWIG, and then sit with his butt about 4" off the curb, and lying down...

I doubt this happened

They are pins for the 100 years of magic that are around 16 bucks...there are 5...one fo each park and the 100 years of logo one...they light up in different patterns during parades, rides and shows...very cool....
