spectromagic crowds

I've read in several places now that the spectromagic parade is very crowded this time of year because of only running Tues and Sat. We will be there March 2 (Tuesday) Where will be the best place to watch or should we try to get PS for Tony's and watch from there or was it Casey's? If so what time?
I also heard the park MK was very busy that day too because of spectromagic I was planning on going there that day but should we leave in the afternoon and come back?
Thanks so much I learn so much from all of you

1) Spectromagic is always a crowd puller.
2) If you are a resort guest (guaranteed park admission) I would stay away from MK until early evening and then go and stake your place. My recommendation would be on the station at the park entrance.

If you plan on watching from the train station, go about three hours early (maybe more)! Last summer (yes it was very busy) I arrived at MK about two and a half hours before the parade to save a spot for my family. It was raining (of course) and people were three deep already under the roof of the second level. Some people had gotten chairs and benches and "reserved" them with a poncho. So, I ended up with a spot on the rail, but uncovered. Well, since my wife and mother were bringing my small children closer to parade time, I pulled one of the tables up to the rail so the kids could sit on it and see the parade. Some guy came up and tried to move the table and we almost came to blows. Imagine that, at WDW! Anyway, he left and I held down the fort so to speak until my family arrived. Well, the rain continued and they postponed and eventually cancelled the parade. I ended up wasting about 4 1/2 hours standing in the rain at a place where time is of the essence. Next time, I'm going right before the parade starts and find whatever spot I can find and enjoying it, even if it is not the "perfect" viewing spot.

This is what I did this past July when it was supercrowded at the MK. My bf and I had limited time so we went on all the rides while everyone else was waiting for the parade for hours. Then, when the rides were finally closed, we looked for a thin spot in the crowd to stand. We found a great spot with the castle in the background- there were people in front of us, but they were sitting on the curb, so we had a great view. -Steph
