I’ve been looking for more information about how the gators at the end of Splash Mountain work. They move so well and honestly I’m curious about them. Is there any effects with them that don’t work anymore?. Is there like a manual to how they function?.

They are servo hydraulic. They have a bunch of small hydraulic actuators and HR-Textron hydraulic servo valves. Each valve has a PID controller which recieves a position feedback from the hydrualic cylinder connected to that particular valve. the PID controls the servo valve based on the position of the actuator and the target position sent by the show controller.
