"special ticketed events"

Hi,

Doing some planning; curious about the "special ticketed events". For example, if you were going in August, and for some reason there happened to be a "special ticketed event", let's just say, um... Halloween, because that would be ridiculous in August, right? Anyway, do they close/ rope off a certain part of the park(s) for these "events", or is it more like EMH, where you wouldn't be able to do anything after a certain time unless you have paid the extra fee? Thanks for any input/ help.

The latter. The park will close early and/or when the event starts if you have not purchased ticket you will be encouraged to exit.

More than that. You are not allowed to stay and just soak up atmosphere like you are with EMH. You will not be allowed to enter any land, shop or bathroom without a party wristband after 7 PM. They will check wristbands and if you don't have one you will be asked to leave.

OK great- thank you all- I appreciate the info! (although I'm a little concerned they wouldn't let you use a bathroom...:-))

Some of the special events actually let the guests in at 4pm instead of 7pm starting time for the event. That makes the parks a lot more crowded for the regular paying guests. I have experienced this once, and that was enough! Couldn't even walk through the crowds without pushing, and the lines for the rides were very very long!!! Something to consider. I would not go to a park on an event day, or go early and leave before 4pm.
