Does anyone know if Disney ever has special discounts around October or November. Last year I went in Feb and my room rates were $55 a night for a value resort.

Last year was a bit strange in the Oct/Nov time frame. The discounts were until the first week in October and there was a gap, can't recall November, but one thing I can tell you is at that time of year the discounts aren't as deep as January/February time period.

We're watching for what they are going to do as well. We usually go in mid to late September. We almost lunged at the Swan & Dolphin deal, but we decided to stick it out and see what Disney is going to do. Truth is we just are too set on staying at the WL to change our minds on resorts. Our thinking is that when the free MYW upgrade offer expires at the end of the month, they may finally post a new offer for late summer / early fall. Either way, if they don't post an offer by late April, I will go ahead and book my vacation just to be sure I can get a room.
