Special offers for December?

We are planning our 12th trip last 15 years and have never been to Disney at Christmas. What is the best way to get a good offer for booking in December?

We have stayed at POFQ, Coronado, Riverside and Carribean Beach.

Thanks for any tips on getting a good deal for December 21-28.

We don't need airfare, just hotel/park tickets. I'm hoping they offer a dining special.

Hi, if you really like big crowds and waiting to get onto any ride then certainly go to the world! We have been just after Thanksgiving at the parks are fantastic and everything is done for Christmas.

We went to Port Orleans last year which was fantastic and have stayed in Pop but can get very busy.

We are going again this year in November to Port Orleans and DCL for our 25th Anniversary

Those dates are the most busiest and usually they have no discounts because they have no problem filling the rooms. In the past all discounts usually end by the 15th. Dinning is never available at that time ending also by the 15th. Good luck though!:)

I agree. You'll get no deals going December 21-28. In fact, you will pay a premium for a room and have to deal with the largest crowds of the year.

The best time to go for Christmas is from the Monday after Thanksgiving until the Friday before Christmas. This used to be one of the least crowded times of the year but the word is "out" now. Crowds aren't bad in early December but they are not what they used to be, when lines for even the most popular attractions often peaked at 20 minutes during the work week (i.e. Mondays thru Fridays). I miss those days.

Mid November is a good time to go although it's a bit early to start celebrating the Christmas season IMHO. WDW usually has most decorations up by about November 10 and the parks definitely take on a Christmas feel.

This actually isn't true. The last three years have had 30-40% discounts through the 24th. http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

2 or 3 weeks ago I planned a trip for the first week of Dec. ands saved it on Disney's web site. 2 days ago I got an email with a pin code which is good from Dec 1-21 and works out to $600 a person for 5 nights-6 days staying at CS and 6 days in the parks. That's a savings of $330 for the two of us. That will almost pay for QS dining.

Thanks for all of the ideas. I'm new to this site and a huge Disney fan. I enjoy the information and excitement on this site:king:
