Hi guys!
We went to DL about 9 last night, and would you believe they wanted 12.00 for parking? for 3 hours! Yikes!, we said no way, and went to DTD, and the overflow parking was free, and it was in the Chip and Dale lot...LOL!
We caught a tram in, and went to catch the train to New Orleans Square. We met a wonderful CM, Michael, who let us ride on the Lilly Belle coach! It is so very cool to me to be able to ride on a genuine piece of Disneyland History. He gave us a complete history, as we made a complete circle tour around the park, while the fireworks were going off. I have been so sick lately, and completely miserable...It was just what I needed!
I am attaching some cool pics from the park in the next post. I hope you enjoy!

Where the heck is the Chip and Dale lot? Im guessing somewhere near the parking structure?

Very cool you got to ride, even more since the fireworks were going off what a way to visit DL after being sick. Hope your feeling better!

LOL Yeah, Chip and Dale lot is where they usually park busses and rv's...RIGHT next to the parking structure, and actually a much shorter walk to the trams....I just thought that was funny....as they wanted so much for 3 hours of parking....LOL!
Thanks, Im feeling better...underestimated my allergy to dogs, and wound up with bronchitis and sinus infection...blah! Mucinex is great stuff;)

WTG on the Lilly Belle ride! We happened to "forrest gump" (as my hubby and I call it) our way onto it one day as well. It's so beautiful! We had wanted to tender by the "enginears", but they were dumping that trip, so a conductor asked if we wanted to ride in the Lilly Belle instead (for those interested, it's not a guarentee, they can only do it if enough staff are available as someone needs to ride in the car with you).

Ahh, so lucky! It'd be neat to take a ride in that. Thanks for the pics...love the tea cups one!

3 things:

I think one time I arrived with 2-3 hours left, and they didn't make me pay. I think I remember that happening.

Chip N Dale is the first floor of the parking structure. I've gotten it a lot lately. The bus parking is Pinocchio.

And...I hate the parking structure. Along with all the other dumb parking lots- Simba, Lilo, and Pinocchio. Poor Timon... :(

I loved the way the Teacup pics turned out. It has been forever since we had been there at night!

I live about a 1/2 hour from Disneyland, so We go often. I do wanna take a few days and stay onsite...I have stayed offsite before. I know it sounds silly to stay, but it sure makes it easier to get up and get there in the morning! Traffic can be a pain.:)
