Thought this was a bit interesting and I figured I should share..On my recent trip to AK I was exiting the Tree of Life pathways heading towards creature comforts/Africa and noticed something really peculiar...

At first glance you look at it...It's like paint fell on some of the plants due to it's overbearing brightness...

Turns out these look like recently new LED Lighting fixtures that were placed and as you can see they are REALLY Bright during the daytime...

I'm guessing this is some kind of test to see how the lighting would work for Pandora/Avatarland or using this kind of lighting for the Rivers of Light show for the Tree itself but..Still I'd thought it was a bit interesting to see this...Anyone else have a guess on what it may be for?

They have the same lights in the bushes around Spaceship Earth, the barley light up the bottom of the sphere. I doubt they will have much effect on the tree.

My first thought when seeing that was maybe some sort of ambient lighting that just got left on during the daytime? I really can't recall what they light the tree with at night these days....

Hmmmm... way out there possibilities....
Testing to see if blue lighting affects the growth of green plants.
Testing to see if blue lighting can control leaf eating insects.
Testing to see if blue lighting can be used for weed control.
Testing to see how quickly guests notice a change in an obscure part of the park and report it.

But my real guess is its something to do with the Avatarland project. Seems to match the color scheme of

Seems strange that they would be testing things on stage, there's plenty of plants and room backstage to test it. It doesn't even need to be on property. Makes me think it is something else.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if they have some type of insect issue going on and this type of light is used to address that.

From what I've read, blue light (especially led) would attract insects, not repel them. Lights with a blue cast can accelerate green plant growth. I don't think either of these reasons apply here. Seems it would be more for testing lighting effects for ROL later on, but I don't know why they would be on during the day unless a mistake.

Wasn't the Tree of Life "twinkling" during Harambe Nights? Has that effect always been there at night or is it new?
