The original King Palms looked the best, in my opinion.
The entrance was glorious in the early 1980s….before the dark times.

Go sprinkle some palm fert around their bases - daily......Not my photo, but the 1999 trees that replaced the tall palm trees from opening day are gone and replaced with smaller palm trees.
I would argue that the restoration of the original entrance was the only positive development out of the entire EPCOT re-imagining. I don't really count Test Track 3.0 because we know GM put up the money for that. The entrance was glorious in the early 1980s….before the dark times.
I would have to agree....well the second thing was they got rid of the paint colors that plagued the Communicore plaza and got them to look at the original architecture again...though the final product was blander than I hoped (mostly just Creations)...I would argue that the restoration of the original entrance was the only positive development out of the entire EPCOT re-imagining. If there was ever something worth investing in thus would be it. Imo right in DS charge for it. People will flock to it imo and also will bring in a ton of foot traffic in that area as well.I wonder if Disney has any idea how much $$$ they're just sitting on when it comes to the archives. I'd drop big bucks to be a member of a real proper museum where I could actually see / hear the stuff they just have sitting in warehouses collecting dust. It seem like it would be a no-brainier to open a museum somewhere on Disney World property.
I think the reason is the archives has SO MUCH good stuff in there then people will be more likely see that the stuff they used to do is better than the crap they put out these days and they obviously can't have that.I wonder if Disney has any idea how much $$$ they're just sitting on when it comes to the archives.
