Spaceship Earth narration...

Let me start this off by saying I'm not displeased with the current narration - just a topic for fun.

Anyway, if you had the chance to change the narration, who would you get to do it?

Personally, I would go with James Earl Jones or back to Walter Cronkite.

GILBERT GODFREE! Why? To keep people from sleeping on this attraction... :D

Not to say that I find the ride boring at all but the music that it plays and the tone and the fact that it's dark and it's sort of cool and the cars have a nice rhythmic vibration to them...

I'm still convinced that the reason the head rests aren't padded and why the woman at the end speaks up with that momentarily loud obnoxious tone to say "May I have your attention, Please" - they are trying to wake anybody who drifted off before they get to the unloading area. :lookaroun

You know it's funny what you guys say about sleeping on SE.....During my 8th grade trip to WDW 3 years ago people were making out on SE because the people next to them were asleep. I actually witnessed it with my own eyes, it was happening during the final dramatic scene with the starry sky and the Earth off in the distance of space.

Regardless....Jeremy Irons is fine by me. I wouldn't change him. I agree with most of you, however, when I say that the girl has got to go!

I noticed this year that they had turned Miss Obnoxious' voice down! I was very pleased! I think Jeremy Irons does a great job as narrator...but, if I had to pick someone else...haha...Jack Nicholson! Opening line: "Here's Johnny!"

Samuel L Jackson in a Pulp Fiction kinda way :)

Gilbert Gottfried would also be amusing

I'll have to strongly vote against Eric Idle. He's good in Monty Python and all, but he's getting overused at Disney

The voice I would not mind hearing on Spaceship Earth would have to be that of Proffessor X/Captian Picard/...he did a voice for Gargolyes too.

That's right Partick Stewart

Yeah, I could see Patrick Stewart, he would be a good fit.

Thinking about it, how bout William Shatner, I don't know, I always find him to be amusing. He could really go off on the narration.

Isn't the big lion called MUFASA, anyway, maybe he converted to the muslim. :D
I think James Earl Jones is too attached with Darth Vader, so the whole ride I'll be thinking in the big black robot talking. I'll like to have the Monorail narrator's voice in this ride, he is simply the best.

I like the idea of Samuel L. Jackson. During the Rome scene he can start yelling in that angry voice of his:

"AND WITH THE FALL OF ROME....."

I do enjoy the current Jeremy Irons voice, but other ideas include:

Patrick Stewart
Alec Bandwin (think about it before you bash it)
Ian Mcelan ?<--Spelling?:veryconfu
