SPACE premise

Not sure if this qualified as news I don't recall reading it before.

But an issue of Disney magazine I picked up at a friend's house said this:

SPACE is set to take place 30 years in the future and opening in time for the start of Epcot's third decade.

Interesting, no?

Why is it weird? Epcot is turning 20, and if it opens in 2003, that'd be the start of Epcot's third decade..

And then the ride itself is "set" in the future 30 years from now.

I think it sounds cool! But won't that mean they'll have to redo it again soon if it isn't right?

Well, Horizons was less than 30 years old and then torn down, same for the original UoE, WoM, and Spaceship Earth.

Why build something if it isn't right ? Surely you mean if in 30 years time M:S isn't correct for how the future really is - I think thats what I mean, a bit like back to the future.
