Space Mountain

I just got back from WDW last week. My last trip was just after Space Mountain had reopened following the long refurbishment. On this trip the ride seemed to have better timing and the effects were more prominent and effective, overall the experience was better.

That seemed odd since the ride was much further out from the refurb. Were additional effects added after the refurb, or is this a matter of the ride being dialed in over the intervening time, or did I just miss things on my previous visit?

I think they've been tweaking it a bit since it's reopened. The audio was added in late August or early September so that's 'new.' As far as anything else I'm not sure, but I can't wait to ride it again this January.

I'm glad to hear that the audio was added after the fact. It makes me feel better to know I wans't misremembering things, and I like that Disney is continuing to improve things in little ways.

I honestly felt the ride was better than ever before this time, but I thought maybe I was just adding things in my head.
