Anyone know if it the rehab went through, and did any get photos of it?

Space Mountain rehab

I attended MK for a couple days during Space Mountain's refurbishment.

I have both still images and video (DV) from inside the mountain. My favorite part of visiting the Mountain during rehab was towards the end of the last day of rehab (14th,) because they began loading some (empty) ride vehicles onto the track, letting them test-run-through. Watching the "rockets" dart through the track reminded me of how much being "in the dark" influences your ride experience ...that is, it's not nearly as bad as a rider might think.
There were also some employees walking along the tracks. I believe this is affectionately deemed, "running the mountain."
For some reason, which is beyond me, the "meteor shower" lights were turned on. These lights were not as visible though, seeing as how the down lights were on (and much brighter.)
I also noticed that Carousel of Progress and Timekeeper were open for limited hours while I was there on Thursday.

Yes, they did go throught with the rehab of Space Mountain....however it was postponed a day!!!:sohappy: :sohappy: I was so excited, because it was open on the 10th, which was my first day in Disney World, so I was able to ride it several times! I was way bummed before hand because I didn't think that it was going to be open, but a security guard outside of Magic Kingdom let us know that it was going to be open for the day only. I did get some pictures of the inside during the rehab....I noticed a few cast members riding in the rockets and I thought it was funny that the meteors were still flying!
