I was at Magickingdom today and man was it crowded !!!!!!!!!!!! We got on Space Mountain and went into the room with the "this is flight safety you are now clear for launch" and we sat there for about a minute and when I looked behind me and saw everyone in the control room was on the phones and all this other stuff. Well, in about three minutes a cast member came down and got us out of are car and took us over to the other side and we got to ride. After ridding space mountain we got on the TTA and rode it once but since we where still tired from walking we got to stay on and when we got to the space mountain entrance some lights turned on and we got to see space mountain with the lights on. Since it was the fist time I have ever seen space mountain with the lights on my Mom said we could go again and right before we exited the space mountain part the lights went out. As near as I can tell the just needed to shut down the ride and reboot it to get the one side to work.

I'm pretty sure Space Mtn was just having ride cascades today. It's nothing major. I happens quite often when the park is very crowded. If there is a guest that isn't loading fast enough they get a pile up of Rockets inbetween Load and Unload which can cause the ride to go 101.

The ride e-stopped while I was on it last Friday. My train stopped near zone 10, beside the lift.
Needless to say, while sitting there in the fully illuminated mountain I managed to get about a dozen neat photos.
We finished the ride with the lights on, and as I have been telling people for years, it's much scarier with lights.

Wow, Ive been on it many times, and never once have had any Cms come and tell us anything, Ive had had the pleasure of seeing it with the lights on though.But I hope nothings wrong wit it, because thats my beyond favorite ride.

It seems as though Space Mountain has been experiencing a lot more breakdowns recently! A total of THREE times in two days when I was down at WDW (August 10-15), Space Mountain had the lights on when I rode TTA and then the next day, twice while in the mountain the lights turned on and they excited everyone out of the ride/line (it was 9:30 and park closed at 10:00) ....we were the next train to board and they didn't give us a pass to come back, which I was kind of hoping. Oh well....
I took lots of pictures but these were with a disposable, so the quality is horrible.

I havn't got a clue, but if they were I would think that they would get DL SM up and running first - see how successful it is to run, manage and guest responses before they do anything.

As far I was aware, its going to completly re-done, with only the building itself staying the same? Can anyone clarify?
