I know there are topics about people SEEING space mountain from the TTA but from a recent even I wondered if anyone has every ridden SM with the lights on.
Well here's my story. I went to a video production camp this past week at Disney and we stayed at the Caribbean Beach and got park hoppers, vip dinners, and 2 tours. The second tour was on the last day and it was at the Magic Kingdom before the park opened. We went to Space Mountain and we were told we get to ride it with the lights on and off. We walked through the line and we went to side B and got to ride it with the lights on. This was such an amazing experience knowing that people don't usually get to do this. We got back and got off and were given a not pad where we had to record how fast, how tall, how long in seconds, and how tall the bigest drop was. Once recorded we walked up a ramp backstage up to the station and the lights were turned off and we got to ride again. Lights on were cool but the lights off are much better. We got off and had to record all the same stuff. Everything seemed longer, taller, and faster. It was the greatest experience ever.
Has anyone else ever been on with the lights on?
If you would like to know anymore about the camp feel free to pm me or check out my trip report in progress.
