Does space mountain have animatronics? I thought I noticed some last time I rode but I can’t find any pictures online.

I could swear that one of the figures at the end of the ride is an animatronic, but maybe I'm misremembering.

Back when SM was sponsored by FedEX, there used to be a little robot guy at the loadout station in DL's SM. That may be what you're thinking of.

They are static mannequins on the lift hill.

There was a proposal to replace them with AAs in 2009, but like many things that refurb, did not happen.

RCA's Home of Future Living, the original post-show, did have some AA figures:
