Hi! I want to get my son something small form every country in Epcot and at the same time use that item in a pic with my son in it so my scrapbook pages have a continuous theme. I know some of you have wonderful ideas and I would love for you to share them with me.:) He's going to be 3, so I would like to get something he will have for a very long time. Thanks!

My wife likes to get one pic of an attraction (out of many digis taken) center it up and then put our kids reaction photos to that around it. I take a LOT of candid shots at attractions and parades of our kids. I'll never remember the wonder in their eyes without those photos.

How about pressed pennies? I'm not 100% sure that they are in every country though. I'm sure someone here knows. I was thinking that would make a cool scrapbook accessory for our next trip.

I can not remember if there are pressed pennies in every country - but last summer our 9 yo son was on a mission to get pressed pennies from every area of WDW and I do remember getting a lot of them throughout EPCOT. To assure that we had enough quarters and pennies, I had empty film canisters and stacked quarters in some, and pennies in others and put them in a ziploc bag. It was easy to grab the quarters and penny quickly and then after the penny had been pressed it went into the ziploc bag. I have a picture of him at each of the presses in the scrapbook and he has a penny press album that he keeps in his room and keeps adding to it. (he just added a New York Yankees pressed penny this past weekend from a rest stop on our way to our first trip to Yankee Stadium!).

The pressed pennies are a great idea. My son is 7 now, but he has been collecting them for several years now. He got a lot last time we were a WDW and a book from Disney for him to keep them in. We get him pressed pennies when we travel elsewhere w/o him and he gets them a special places he goes. He is all ways looking for the machines. He looks back at those pennies and quarters from Disney and remembers where he got each one. They make a great keepsake and are inexpensive and don't take up much room. We used the M&M mini quarter containers to keep his quarters and pennies in in the parks. He is looking forward to adding to his Disney collection.:)

I also did pressed pennies from all over WDW to signify important things that I did that I'd want to scrapbook later.

On my trip in January, I was there with some friends and their parents as well. All four of us "kids" (we're all 22 years old and older) went from country to country and put on their signature "hats" and took a picture in them. We have:
Mexico-Giant Sombrero's
Norway-Viking Hats
China-Rice hats
Germany-black "guard" hats
Italy-orange ski caps
USA- various red white and blue hats
Japan-Pokemon character hats
Morocco-Fez's
France-Beret's
UK- Peter Pan
Canada- Moose hats

I then scrapbooked each picture on it's own page in an 8x8 album and titled the scrapbook "The Mad Hatters do Epcot" (JoLee's brand has "destination" stickers that worked perfectly on the pages, I found a set from almost every country in Epcot. I see you're from Toms River, go to your local Rag Shop or Michels to get the stickers, I'm a town or two over, I know they've got the stickers, that's where I got mine)

Here's the pictures from that trip, so you can get an idea of the hats (scroll down to the last pic's)

You could also do the same thing, and maybe have your son take a picture with a cast member from each country. They make the Epcot Passport where you can go from country to country and they sign something in their native language. You can then glue the passport right to the scrapbook.
They also have Kidcot funstations in each country where your son can color a mask, then add a little dicut to it in each country. Take a picture of him "crafting" in each country and do some pages on that.

One last thing - they also sell a set of coins from the countries from Epcot. They do come packaged nicely, but I'm sure you could cut it and get the coins out to decorate a page.

Don't forget to take at least three of every pamphlet, one to cut stuff from the front of it, one to cut stuff from the back of it, and one to keep nice to put in a pocket or something in the book.

From one scrapbooker to another--I hope this all helps!

Each year my husband and I decided the new 'theme' pages for our vacation.

One year we decided to to the Epcot countries as well. We decided to a limit of $3.00 per page. We were amazed at the items we were able to pick up!

Just a few of the items were:

Little Rug Flag
Postcard
paper lantern
brass maple leaf

After we got each of the items we themed the page after the items. We also made a point of taking lots of unusal shots in the countries.

The Kidcot stops in Epcot are great. My 3 year old did that and the pressed pennies this past trip and had a blast. There is a penny machine in each country. WHen you get to the last kidcot stop necessary to complete all the countries let the castmember know and they will give your little one a prize for doing so.

With the Kidcot stuff, I wrote on each diecut which country it was from as he received it from the castmember. I knew I wouldn't remember all of them by the time we got home. You can take a pic of your son outside of the country or at the Kidcot stop and put it on the page with a pressed penny and/or if your son will let you deconstruct the mask the die cut from that country. Then put the mask in a different page with a picture of your son holding the mask up to his face once he is finished. We have a pic of my son and me with Minnie and she is holding his mask up to her face. Kidcot is free and fun for the kids. I would hold off on the passport, which you purchase and the castmember writes something in their own language, until he is a bit older and con understand what is going on a bit more.

I like the hat idea too for the pictures!

We were in Epcot one week ago today. My kids got the passports and had them signed in every country. It was my son's bday and most put a birthday message on his. We also did the pressed pennies. All of the countries EXCEPT JAPAN AND CHINA have a machine in a store-usually the same one as the kidcot stop. But to get Japan and China you have to go to one of the stores leading into the World Showcase from Future World or the International Gateway. We were there for EMH, and didn't finish up until after 11:00. We assumed the stores would be open-we were wrong! My kids were happy with coins from 9 of the 11 countries, but I was disappointed.

You can get a pin in each country and take a pic of your son infront of the county with the pin on and so on and once he has all the pins take a pic by the stage with SSE in the backround with him and make sure he has ALL the pins on... that would be a cool idea..

AK has something similar to the Kidcot stops. They get a book at the first stop and get a stamp for each of the other stops.

Also, they have pressed pennies all over the place at each park. There is a different one for each land in MK and most stores at DTD. You can ask at your resort for a list of all the places to find pressed penny machines.

That is really good to know...I had no idea. The last visit I had to WDW we were without kids! Thanks!

During our trip last year, with our 18 month old son, my wife decided to make an "ABC" scrap book. She is really into Creative Memories scrapbooking. Each page was a letter of the alphabet. She purchased different Disney stickers, then added photos of our trip based on the letters. For example, for letter "A" we put in pictures of my son with Alladin, and one with him and Aerial along with a big letter "A" sticer. For "D", we put pictures of him with Donald Duck and riding Dumbo. My son loves and it is a great way for him to learn his alphabet.
