I apologize if this isn't the right place for this...

I have about $85 in unused credit from Southwest that I am not going to be able to use before they expire (5/26/07). Am I allowed to trasfer this credit to anyone, if so is anyone willing to 'barter' for it?

Yes you can transfer it. You'll need to keep the reservation number that it was from, and also the name it was sold to, but it's all perfectly legal to do. Had you posted this earlier I would have gladly bought them from you, but I just booked our trip yesterday. I'm sure you'll find someone who could use them.
