Oh well. As for the softer side...thanks, I think. Are you commenting on my weight???

Well, you do look like your retention of water is a bit higher than usual. Work on the crunchers and stay off the Snickers 'cause that fat aint goin' anywhere, child. *snap snap snap* Ain't that right, Ricki Lake?!? GIR FRAN!

...wait, was that too soft, TIGSMOM?

Big movie soundtrack fan right here. Right now, new faves include Pirates of the Caribbean (which has probably become one of my favorite movie soundtrack ever), Return of the King, Finding Nemo, and Terminator 3. My favorite movie soundtrack EVER though is Back to the Future Part II, but actually the entire BTTF trilogy music are my favorites. My favorite composers are John Williams and Alan Silvestri (who also did the music for Lilo and Stitch if i'm not mistaken). Danny Elfman is also a great composer, some of my favorites from him include Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Spider-Man, and Men in Black. John Williams will always be the man though, i've got some 2-disc set which has many of his famous works, my fave include E.T., Jurassic Park, Home Alone, Star Wars, and Jaws.

As for Broadway (not really into it), the only ones I do enjoy are The Lion King and the Phantom of the Opera.

I need to get POTC. Everyone says it is great. When I watch the movie I notice how awesome the music is. Back to the Future has some great music too.

John Williams is so famous for creating that music that everyone hums on the way to work, school, etc. For example:
Jaws, Imperial March, Star Wars, Indiana Jones. (Empire of the Sun is good too)

Ok, thats it, I am buying POTC this weekend! :sohappy:

That would be Melvin, from Office Space... the neglected associate whose stapler is stolen from the boss. (GREAT movie)

It looks like the same actor who was in that TV show with Phil Hartman GRHS as the station manager / owner. I think it was News Radio. He also looks like the guy who was the blind radio station owner in 'Oh Brother, where art thou..." which, by the way, has a pretty good soundtrack.

With the Glory soundtrack, I would say that I am a James Horner fan, and Urinetown the Musical was suprisingly very good.

Yup, Stephen Root. Look for him in Ben Stiller's next movie: Dodgeball - An underdog's story (or something like that).

The interesting thing about the Glory and Gettysburg soundtracks is that a lot of movies use that music for commercials. (Cold Mountain commercials used Glory music) It is also funny how many variations of movie themes come from Holsts 'The Planets: Mars' and Orffs 'Oh Fortuana'.

Speaking of Ben Stillers next movie, my wife and I saw a preview for Starsky and Hutch when we went to see Along Came Polly. Looks like a pretty funny movie. There was a group of kids in front of us who looked pretty puzzled during the preview. It looks like Snoop Dog is going to play Huggy Bear. I assume the soundtrack for that one is going to be pretty good. Nothing like 70's rock.

Ben looks great as Starsky, but I am more impressed with Owen as Hutch. He plays the 'pretty boy' image so well. Should be a laugh riot to those who have watched the show.
