I would love to see instead of a sound effects show, a show about how music plays into a movie. Disney has tons of movies that cause someone to tear up, but that extra music just sends people over the top. In the show, show clips from different movies with the wrong music, stuff like that. Make it interactive I guess, while making it a moving tribute to music. I know the rides and shows I go back to are the ones that give me goosebumps. This would be like Fantasmic, with the music building up and the sound of the audience in awe of Mickey appearing on top of the mountain moves me every time. Something like this needs to be done for a music attraction in MGM.
One small interaction idea, put the same type of technology as the Figment music conductors at the Figment ride, but make it so the guest watches a film and conducts so the music becomes faster, slower, more upbeat, or sadder. This could be done with pre recorded music and have a computer reconize the basic movements of the guest.
