...but I am having a total mind blank on this most basic topic. Do I need to have my hopper passes bought and linked to my MDE account BEFORE making my fastpass+ selections at the 60-day mark? Or can I make the fastpass+ selections and then at some point AFTER that buy my hopper passes and link everything together?

Again, I apologize for such a dumb question, but I really do appreciate the assistance.

You have to have park tickets already linked before making any FP's.

You can add the Hopper option at any time - even when at WDW. This won't affect your FPs as you can only book them (in advance) at one park per day

You do have to have the tickets before making the FastPass+ choices. However, like the person above me said, you can upgrade to the Park Hopper anytime.
