Any idea if Song of the South is going to be released on DVD soon.

Lots of rumors (do a search here) point to a 2006 release, not in the typical Disney DVD sense, but more in the Disney Classics launch. The movie will probably come with lots of documentaries to put the film in persepective.

I'm surprised it has not been released as part of the "Disney Treasures" DVD series.

It is sometimes shown on tv here in England, I remember recording it on VHS a few years ago when it was shown on BBC2 in the morning. It has been on again since then.
