Song Of The South

Does anyone know how to get a VHS copy of Song Of The South? I had heard they took it off the market or never released it, due to it not being PC for life today. I guess there is a PAL (European videotape standard) version but not one in the American Standard.

A friend of mine has checked teh Wen abd found one for $75. Any ideas?

Due to NAACP protests about the slavery in the movie, Disney has refused to release the movie onto video in the United States. I went to Rome in March 2000 and asked a store who carried old Disney videos if they had one. They said they were popping up in different areas of Europe (mostly Germany) but they didn't have any. Japan mostly carries them.

I have a friend that sent us a copy from the UK as a gift because Splash Mountian is my youngest granddaughters favorite ride ..but when we tried to get it converted from PAL format it didnt work so I did a search and this it where you can go

Its been listed as a "schedualed" release in the US for the past 2 years...on DVD even (i think)...

I had my "bootleg" converted from PAL to NTSC...if I were smart (which im not) Id digitize it and make it into my own DVD...maybe when i get more time...

I paid an arm and leg to have mine converted but its no good ..it fades in and out. Its very upsetting because it was a gift and a special one so how did you manage to get it converted?

Im a digital animator and I do a lot of work for companies overseas...so I have PAL and NTSC stuff all over the place...I have a conversion box that cost me about 200 bucks (2 years ago already) that works dandy

I wanted that movie ever since I went on Splash Mountain. Hopefully disney will release it.
