Something fun to do in Disney Springs

Hi, I posted another question in the restaurants section asking about dining at Splitsville. What I'm looking for is something different to do in Disney Springs, which is where we plan to be on our first day (late afternoon/evening).

I was thinking it might be fun to have dinner and bowl at Splitsville. I'd appreciate any comments on that. Also, if anyone of you have ever gone to the dine in movie theater, how was that? How do we find out what movies are playing? Any other fun things to do? We've already eaten at Wolf Gang Pucks, Planet Hollywood, and have done the hot air balloon. We're looking for something different to do and, if it matters, we are not doing the dining plan this trip (for the first time)...

Here's The link to AMC Disney Springs 24 site to find all your info on what is playing..https://www.amctheatres.com/movie-t...h/amc-disney-springs-24-with-dine-in-theatres

And the site for the Dine-in Theater..https://www.amctheatres.com/food-and-drink/dine-in/fork-and-screen

If you or anyone like video games or gaming in general there is DisneyQuest..It is quite fun for the far and few with interactive games and other experiences (This does cost extra unless you have the Water Park & More Option it is included with admission to DisneyQuest).

Bowling and dinner sounds fun. Also, I haven't personally been to the theater there but I have friends who have and love it and go all the time.

Wanted to throw this in...just in case. Not sure when you are going, but, if it is on a day the NFL playoffs or SB is on, finding a table might be tough. Splitsville is the only place in DS that shows the games. It's pretty much a Sports Bar inside with multiple TV's and there are TV's on the patio for the outdoor seating as well. A lot of dads like to bowl when the games are on. Otherwise, you should be fine.

we did the dine in theater there 3 years ago. wasn't bad. thought it'll be a pain trying to watch a movie with people eating or waiters getting in the way. no trouble at all.
someone beat me to it & suggested cirque du solei (hope I got that right). very good show, but could be pricy depending on your budget. enjoy!

Thanks, I found it! Looks like they show all types of movies, not just Disney.

The dine in theaters are great. You get a waiter that comes if you press a call button and can order popcorn, candy, refillable soda, etc. I haven't tried the real entrees though, they looked like pre-made frozen food.

I hope not... I'm already planning on getting the Thai Coconut Chicken Tenders. That sounds so good to me! :hungry:

I went to Jock Lindsey's for the first time this week -- The place was genuinely themed (rather than decorated, as has become a trend), and the service was amazing. My waiter asked my name when I walked in, remembered it the whole night, was the "right" kind of friendly, and literally read my mind with regards to what I wanted to order. Really took care of me and made me feel at home there. It reminded me of days I feared had gone by for the Walt Disney Company, which was a big and pleasant surprise for me!

It is just a regular cinema, operated by AMC. There is nothing that ties it to Disney. If you have a big muiltiplex cinema near your home, there isn't anything special about the Disney Springs one, except for the Dine & Screen option.
