Some Trip planning questions

Well I am really into our planning phase now and here our a few questions, if any one knows the answers, thanks.

1. Has anyone ever hooked up a water filter like pur etc. to your resort room sink. I could bring the big brita pitcher down but it takes up alot of suitcase room.

2. What time do the boardwalk games start and end. Are they expensive or even worth our time.

3. How much does a movie cost at downtown disney? How are the snack prices etc?

4. At the Dolphin does anyone know if the will be giving cheaper rates because of the renovation. We qualify for the govt. rate or at least thats what DH co-worker says.

5. We won't be spending too much time in the room and mostly likely will be at the pool. alot so what is a good location. A long walk is not good as one DS has asthma and with all the swimming, that will be enough.

Thanks so much for all your help.

2. What time do the boardwalk games start and end. Are they expensive or even worth our time. THEY ARE PROBABLY JUST AS EXPENSIVE AS JERSEY SHORE BOARDWALK GAMES.

3. How much does a movie cost at downtown disney? How are the snack prices etc? LESS THEN $10 FOR THE MOVIE.. SNACKS ARE PROBABLY JUST AS MUCH AS REGULAR THEATERS.

4. At the Dolphin does anyone know if the will be giving cheaper rates because of the renovation. We qualify for the govt. rate or at least thats what DH co-worker says. I DOUBT THEY ARE CHEAPER.

OR IF YOU WANT SOMETHING CHEAPER, PORT ORLEANS IS BEAUTIFUL, WITH A QUICK WALK TO THE BUS STOP. :)

Thanks so much for all your help.

I guess I should clarify, my one question on the location is the dolphin as we are switching there from the Poly after the FTP is over We have never been at the Dolphin before and its the cheapest place we could find on site. I really do feel disney discriminates against you if you have more than 2 kids or bringing other family members and friends that constitute more than a group of 4. I priced all star sports for 2 night preferred view and that was like $109 a night for 2 rooms, hence $208 a night for the 2 rooms we would need for 5 people. We are getting the govt. rate at the dolphin but have to pay for the extra roll away, resort fee, etc. so it is still cheaper so stay at the dolphin instead of the all stars for those 2 nights. Go figure. I guess the other option was the FW cabin, but with one DS's asthma, trees, pine pollen etc. is definetely out of the question.

I would guess that you could contact the Dolphin and request a room close to the pool--mention the asthma and trouble getting around in the heat of summer.

If your ground transportation situation will allow it, bottled water might be your best bet. Have you thought about the Brita water filter bottles? I saw them in the grocery store for about $7--probably cheaper at Wal-Mart.

I cannot stand Orlando water, but I was able to brush my teeth and take a pill with melted ice--it didn't have that "stinky feet" smell.

1. They make smaller (2-cup) Brita bottles that fit well into the suitcase. I got mine free with my pitcher and always bring it when I travel anywhere! I run the water through it and re-fill the bottles with it. I have seen them sold separately at Target and Wal-Mart. Good to have one on hand!

2. Sorry....not a clue!

3. Same as at home. Regular AMC movie and snack prices.

4. Call the Hotel directly and ask. They may have other options available you have not heard of.

5. Be sure to notify the front desk BEFORE you arrive, that you will be needeing a room near the pool. They will accommodate you if they can!

HAVE FUN!
