Some tidbits from me to you...

Just got back from a week long vacation at WDW. WOW, the crowds (especially all those LSU and Iowa fans) made it crazy throughout the parks! Anyway here is some tidbits that I found during the trip (may know about it already, but I'm not reading through 7 days worth of threads :D)

- As of January 3, Carousel of Progress is to remain open throughout the week (asked 2 cast members). They did not know of anything about the ride closing other than they were operating the ride for this week.

- Timekeeper ended its holiday run today as it is now closed. I asked about whether or not it's done for good, but no confirmation.

- Astro Orbiter was closed last week and displayed a rehab sign at the entrance. Sites like Mouseplanet reported it was to be rehabed late in the month

- I noticed one of the monorail's brakes sounded REALLY bad on the 4 times we rode it last week (Monorail Pink). Today (Jan. 3) I saw fewer monorails out on the MK line, so maybe they are working on some of them?

- The new ticket system was in full swing on Sunday. The lines were slightly longer, but the flow was steady. After looking at it, I'm not a big fan of it.

- Wonders of Life was open until Dec. 31. I asked a CM in Cranium Command about the pavilion and he reiterated what was said on other sites about a POSSIBLE opening in February due to the Land closure (which also remained open until Jan 1).

This is all I can remember for now. Figured you guys would continue to be updated with this stuff. Bye for now. I'll do a trip report later in the week.

Pink was very bad, especially since it was on the express loop for MK on Sunday night. Whenever we had to slow down at each resort station, for clearance, or when we finally made it to the TTA there was kid very close to the doors and was not holding on to anything. I thought I'd have to grab him from falling out, that's how bad the brakes were. :dazzle:
