Well... today I went to Shades of Green. I had last been there before it reopened, and I was thoroughly impressed. While it's still not 100% complete, I do like the new "Contemporary Floridian" motif throughout (ie- Pacific Northwest, with florida colors). Anyway, here's some pics from it. It's a very nice resort, and our servicemen/women definitely deservice it.

Thank you sooo much for that. My nephew just got home from Iraq today. He was sent out last week to Germany because he was hurt and he was shipped out right after he was married and they are thinking about going to WDW and I told him about Shades of Green and he was wondering what it looked like etc. Now he can see for himself when he gets rested up and awake tomorrow.

wow, I've never seen pictues of Shades Of Green, thanks for sharing them! I like to see them put the 24 hour time format on signs in other Disney resorts and see how many civillians would be completley confused. Maybe they should do that all over though that way there wouldn't be signs like the monorail operating times in the Contemporary

expect some more pics soon. This was entirely unplanned, I was only intending to check out the golf courses, but ended up wandering around the hotel as well.

Wow! Great pics! We stayed at SoG several years ago and will probably stay there again in the future. I especially liked the picture of the "map" of the resort - the whole front/left section is brand new, when we were there in '97 the main entrance was just to the left of the square "fountain pool." thanks for sharing!
