After many years of thinking about all the things that go on, I have come to the conclusion that people are nuts. Some are crazier than others, but people are just nuts. It explains a lot. :)

At the bottom of that story is a link to a story of a little league kid who died after being hit by a line drive. So shockingly sad. :(

Most of the news stories regarding soccer related violence occur in countries overseas which are already in the middle of very tense and violent situations, such as Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, just to name a few. Soccer is played in literally every country in the world, and obviously not all of those countries are going to have the greatest security and such. Comparing events in these countries which are already riddled with violence around every corner to hockey games in the US and Canada is not a fair comparison whatsoever. Yes this incident happened in the US but that is ONE time. Every sport breeds violence occasionally simply because many people these days just don't care for or respect others. Period.
