Well, during SOAP opera weekend, there was still soap goo in the AS bathtub. But we got the usual small bar of soap and a larger one for the first time. At the parks, I didn't see any of the gritty powder soap, which was still around the previous time I went (the year before). I asked my bro if he remembered it from HIS last visit (in the 70s) and he said he did.

I actually didnt think about that till you said something. That is very funny in a irony type way. They took out the powder soap in the parks after 9/11 and all that stuff about some bad metal band (sorry if that jokes is in bad taste to anyone)????? But I was hoping that it would be back in by now that is one of those odd lil memories I have of the parks.

There are still soap dispensers at the All Star Resorts. I think they will give you bar soap if you request it though.
The powdered soap was permanantly removed after the whole Anthrax thing last year. It will not be returning.

The give you a bar of soap at the sink in your room, but the dispenser things are stillin the shower for bath gel and shampoo.
Is is just me...or does anyone else find those dispensers a little gross as far as being sanitary??? I dont want to wash my face with anything that comes out of a container people can take the lid off to refill. But that might just be me........
As for the powder soapinthe parks....its all liquid now!

I learned long ago that if you really care about the kind of soap you use, you need to take your own.
(When I first visited my husband's family, all they had was Dove--I battled zits for 2 weeks after a weekend using that Crisco stuff!)
It's no big deal to take a half-used (and therefore smaller) bar from home in a ziploc bag. Leave it there when you leave.
Saves a lot of headaches.
