So What's Up With This Mad T Party...

I have doubts about this idea. In Disneyland (as some of may have heard) they are replacing Electronica (a sort of club with a Tron theme) with the Mad T Party (a weird Alice in Wonderland themed Rave). After seeing some of the costumes that I will include in this post I could do nothing but hang my head in shame haha. It just looks so utterly disgraceful and out of place. They are replacing something that is proven to ATTRACT people to a Disney show with something that a lot of people already have said they DO NOT like. I'm not sure about this one guys, I personally think it is a terrible idea, but I can't say much seeing as how it is not in service. If anyone goes when it is built and ready to go (because I know I sure won't) tell me how it is haha, I'm wondering if this will be a BIG waste of money and time...money and time they should have put into something else, like perhaps bringing the Hatbox Ghost back to the Haunted Mansion? haha just saying. :sohappy:

IMO ElecTRONica was meh, it just seems to attract people if World of Color is filled to capacity. And Hollywood backlot isn't that big..It looks like they are doing the same thing for this Mad T Party with the Stage by the Off The Page Store and the Dance area by Monster's Inc, and the bar adjacent to it..It's nothing big but it's an eyesore during the day. With the Grand Reopening of DCA and trying to depict Hollywood of the 20's & 30's this just doesn't make a lick of sense..This is why I'm glad nothing like this ever made a migration to WDW...If they need nighttime entertainment all they should do is RECONSIDER opening the Island again..

I agree this looks really out of place and from what I've heard, the lingo of "T Party" is actually a drug reference, so that doesn't help them any.

Maybe they were trying to avoid the right-wing conservative Tea Party label, and called it T Party, or they're trying to sell a lot of t-shirts. Either way, this looks MUCH worse than ElecTRONica

It's not a show like Finding Nemo: The Musical or Beauty and the Beast at DHS. Like you said, it's a rave. I think the costumes fit. I really don't get the "gang" comments that are flying around.

I am fine with these parties, but they are just Disney's most-naked-to-date excuses to get drunk. They are the St. Patrick's Day of Disney attractions. Sure, there are some cute little girls doing a Celtic dance, but everyone comes for the green beer. Even with Food & Wine, you can pretend you are cultured "sampling" things from different countries. It really is like a more family-friendly rave or dance club... you go there to dance and drink.

Sorry, but those costumes are complete fodder compared to the Programs and Sirens of ElecTRONica!
The CM's depicting the TRON girls knocked it out of the park, if I do say so myself! I hate to say, but even the same women in this T Party gear will not have the same affect.

I surely hope there is some completely amazing Wild Card to be revealed when T Party goes live. I simply cannot imagine it living up to half of what ElecTRONica, Flynn's, etc., did for DCA!

Really going to miss ElecTRONica =( This doesn't even compare. I guess we will have to wait and see how it all looks in person. If the scenery is really awesome it could be ok.
