Okay, so the bears are back open from the Christmas refurb. So, did they make any effort to do some additional touch-ups aside from the usual redress the bears and sets? I haven't been in contact with Grizz for a while(Man, when is he going to end his hiatus from here?), so I don't know when I can get a report from him. But in the last couple trips he's made since he left here, he's been telling me things like Melvin making a bunch of mechanical noises, and Trixie's eyes being messed up, etc.

Since I'm going there a month from Saturday, I just want to know if the bears' condition has improved from what Grizz has been telling me.

When people mention the Country Bear Christmas show - i remember all those Tower of Terror 4 ads... "We made it worse."

Now i've got the image of that scary bear foot sticking out of the cast in my head. Yikes!

Well I love the Christmas show. I think it's neat that the entire show, and the dress of the bears change for the season. Of course I absolutly love Christmas, and Disney, and when you put the two together I could go insane in happiness.

I can't wait to visit Disney again. The Country Bear show is just the beginning. Soon the bows and the trees will go up all around Main Street!

As a kid I thought CBJ was one of the funniest things in the world. Going back as an adult, I enjoyed it from that perspective, recalling my childhood. And the kids in our group were in hysterics the whole time. I think it's just a part of that 'being a kid again' to sit back and enjoy the simpler things in life. It doesn't all have to be thrill a minute edge-of-reality high-tech perfection. Part of it for me is the continuity and remembrance of things from my kid time...

Isn't that what the Magic Kingdom is about?

Yeah, and I guess that is just sort of my knee-jerk response to folks who talk of DBJ as dated. I think that, within the 'big picture' of what WDW is about, it does fit into the 'alternate reality' creation.

I've never seen the Christmas County Bears before, because I've never gone during the Disney holiday. But I'm going in 11 days, and I'm looking foward to seeing the show for my first time.

I love the bears and the Christmas show. Its just classic. I always laugh a bit though because it reminds me of "Lesters Possum Park" on the Goofy Movie. Hehe...that's one of my favorite parts of that movie.

But you gotta love the bears, its just part of the experience for me.

I havent seen the show this year but im gonna take a wild guess that all they did was re-dress the bears. It was actually a day early so if they did that I doubt that anything extra was done.
