you can get pins of stitch wearing the white outfit from Elvis's famous hawaii concert and all.. and it got me thinking about how that whole concert fits the Polynesian resort's hawaii theme so well.
Think about it.. that was one of the most famous concerts in history.. and how cool it must have been back then to be on vacation in hawaii staying at a nice resort on the beach and then to go to see Elvis live in a once in a lifetime event right near the resort. Amazing stuff that only a few people got a chance to see.
But.. imagine if instead of Disney building that big arena in MGM for the stunt car show.. that they instead built a same sized arena somewhere around the Polynesian resort.. on the beach even. Then every night for an admission they could re-recreate that Elvis in hawaii concert .. complete with the big band and improved light show, fireworks, etc. Elvis could be done with a high-end impersonator or even advanced animatronics (since he didnt dance much on that concert). They even could somehow have stitch in his white suit come out on stage during breaks etc for the kids that are with any adults etc.
I think this would have been a huge cash cow for disney.. disneys the all american place and it doesnt get much more all american than Elvis. And even for younger people like me it would give a chance to see something that we would have never gotten to see.. Elvis live in Hawaii... even though its Disney's hawaii.. but you get the point.
Anyway.. i just think theres so much more they could have done with that arena in mgm and this is just one thought.. to me its pretty much wasted on something that people will only watch once.. that car stuntshow. If it was used for something like this.. the same people may go back to the Elvis show a few times in their life.. sort of like going back to the hoopdeedoo or spirit of aloha show.
