So I fly to Houston, and all In-n-Out's in Texas are CLOSED

Yes, basically California, Arizona and Nevada are the first group Colorado is a second base, and Texas is the third. Basically In-n-Out builds a meat processing facility first, and then builds stores close enough to deliver fresh meat.

In-n-out is basically known as the best fast food burger place, but not the best burger ever invented around here in Cali. I guess people want others to try it simply because it is that much better, but then again I have never been too much of a fan of fast food burgers that aren't from in-n-out.

I'm confused...your post says all In-N-Outs were closed, but you say you flew into Houston. Were you planning to drive to Austin, Dallas, Waco or San Antonio? There are none in H-Town (double checked the location map just to make sure). I don't get the hype (have had it before) and am perfectly happy with Whataburger and thankful Culver's has branched out into our area, but I know many who'd love to see In-n-Out make it here. I know I'd heard they bought some land in Houston, but had no plans to develop it any time soon.
