So I auditioned for The Crucible (and got cast)...

So I got a part. Just not the part I wanted.

I'm Rebecca Nurse. I am grateful that I got a part (since a LOT of people who auditioned didn't get cast), but I'd probably be happier if my director hadn't of told me that if the girl who he cast as Elizabeth Proctor hadn't auditioned, I would've definitely had the role of Elizabeth. And that's the role I wanted

He told me that next to her, I had the best audition out of everyone.

I feel really stupid for being upset, but I'm mad at myself. If I'd only done a little better at auditions I'd have had it...

Sorry , but when I saw this I laughed. The Crucible is a famous sporting venue in the UK where they play such competative sports like darts and snooker.

Congratulations! Don't focus your energy on being upset (I know, easy for me to say), but focus your energy on being the best Rebecca Nurse that stage will ever experience. When the curtain goes down on the first night, make that director think to himself, "I think I made a mistake.":animwink:

Congratulations, Ash!!! Just remember... there are no small parts!!! Don't worry... if you dont think you tried your hardest, there will be other plays you will audition for... And you never know, you might be glad you got the part you got. I'm sure you'll have fun either way!
