I am in Lakeland actually, I am in Florida for 2 weeks, the first being for work setting up for some spring training sites. My vacation starts next week on the 2nd but I stopped at DTD for a cookie and sandwich.

Construction is well under way. I realized it would be boarded up but so much at once is really making it tough to get around. The choke points were everywhere and I was just by myself, I truly feel for those pushing strollers or having a family.

I sort of wish they did this update in increments because it closed off so much at once...

That's all I got..

Thanks for the update. I go in Oct. I wonder what they will have done by then. Is there a timeline listed somewhere?
You know I don't follow dates too closely but I would imagine a good part of the marketplace walls will be down by then.

All I know was...Thanksgiving week...DTD parking was a NIGHTMARE. It will be so nice when the ramps get open! We would have rode boat but they were shut down that day and the other day we were going DTD-Airport...

Well I hate to hear what you have to say when I actually give my opinion about visiting. :)

We visited universal today and ate lunch at Mythos... I rode mummy and harry potter and a bunch of other rides for the first time in my life. I have to say I am embarrassed to have not visited that park in my past trips. I also didn't go on some because my wife didn't handle potter well :(... I know barely anyone reads these but I will try to post this anyway.

I have been in Florida since Feb 23rd for work. My wife came March first and our actual vacation started. We only got one day park hoppers because the only thing we needed to see was the new fantasy land. It was neat and obviously still incomplete with the mine train still under construction...ish. I'll explain that later. Fle seems very jumbled up though. The columns that kind of stick out in the middle of nowhere don't seem to belong. The new attractions look nice from the outside and pork shanks are a million times better than turkey legs. Who can tell me why peter pan is an hour wait and little mermaid was not?

The room, we stayed on site for 4 nights because of a cm discount, Caribbean beach... Yuck!!! I still love Coronado but it wasn't open for reservations when we made ours.

Other parks.. Why bother mentioning, they are all the same.

DTD is a mess but that I truly believe will be for the better, parking was a nightmare and its all due to progress, that's good.

Now universal studios... I was greeted by more employees there first, not just uniformed ones. Management types as well. That made me happy. Had a duff... It was good but priced a bit high. MIB... Wow!!! So much better than I expected. I seriously thought it was just cutouts the whole ride. Glad I was wrong. Mummy, again really cool ride. I didn't expect it to be that fast and fun. When it opened there were so many nay sayers here I thought it would be dinosaur with more effects.. Again dead wrong.

IOA was beautifully themed!! We didn't go on many rides because we had lunch, at Mythos, which was well priced and very good. We did go on forbidden journey however. My wife didn't handle it well but I loved it. The video sections were a bit tough to watch but the ride was amazing. I have never been on anything like it in my life and neither has the wife lol! We called it a day unfortunately because I felt bad for her but I will go back again someday. Hopefully when cabana bay is fully open and I can save some cash on a room that is worth the price.

Now comparing the expansions, and this is my opinion. Potter 2 is clearly further behind, mine train looks almost completely done. I have no doubt disney is dragging it out on purpose to try to . That's shady and I hope it bites them in the rear for it.

This was a really brief report and quickly typed so forgive me for any grammatical errors.

Omg I completely forgot magic bands and FP+!!!! First the band. Its handy for room and park entry.. Linking our tickets didn't work for one of the two. Fortunately there are about 1500 employees servicing this mess at any given time. I'm not joking, the stands are everywhere and FP+ experts are every 50 feet. FP+ is terrible! The limitations of one park is just unforgivable. The suggestions are even worse, they never really let you have what you want, ever.... That's all I got for now.

Sometimes it is just better to rip the band-aid off quick and get it over with.

Whats wrong with CBR? We normally stay at CSR but were going to try CBR in October to save some $$$.

Ahhh... So many people on these boards seemed to like it, now I'm not so sure...
I thought the same thing when we booked. I thought how bad could it be? The rooms were dumpy, the layout was terrible and the food was not good at all. In fact last night we drove to Coronado for dinner at the pepper market. The greeters at the main door asked why we left so soon and we said we had to go back to our room at CBR to eat since the slop in their food court was awful. He was rolling laughing. I have heard good things but honestly those people have been cemented as untrustworthy going forward. Would much rather stay at all stars than that place again. Same exact level of room and food was not as good as pop. 2 sinks And a few square feet does not make up for much. The other moderates have all been great CBR was not even close in comparison.
