Smoking in the Animal Kingom Lodge

So, since the passing of my father a month ago, my brother and I have carried on a tradition of smoking cigars in his honor. Question: Does the Animal Kingdom Lodge allow smoking outside on my balcony if I have a Savannah Room?

First off, my condolences on your loss.

The "short answer" is no.

The 'longer answer' is yes, so long as you're aware and able to pay the
$ 200-$500 "room recovery fee" that you'll be charged if it's detected you smoked in your room or on it's balcony. Disney doesn't care about the morales -- they do want to recover their additional expenses in cleaning the rooms (if smoked in or about) so as to reduce the number of guests who want a non-smoking room from wanting to change rooms/have extra cleanings upon check in.

Sorry about your loss, but you'll have to smoke in a designated smoking policy or risk serious fines.
